Step 2: Type command:

net.exe stop “Windows search”

Step 3: Press Enter.

Disable Windows Search Permanently

Step 1: Open Run > services.msc.

Step 2: Find Windows Search option.

Step 3: Double click > Properties window.

Step 4: Change the Startup Disabled Apply > OK.

Method 2: Disable SuperFetch

Step 1: Open Command Prompt (Admin).

Step 2: Type command > Enter.

net.exe stop superfetch

Step 3: Wait for a few minutes.

Method 3 – Perform a disk check

Step 1: Open Command Prompt (Admin).
Step 2: Type command > Enter.

chkdsk.exe /f /r

Step 3: Type Y to confirm > restart your computer.

Method 4: Disable Antivirus Software temporarily

If you are using Antivirus > disable it temporarily.

Method 5: Update your device drivers

Sometimes outdated drivers are the reason for 100% disk usage problem in Windows 10. So update or download all the required device drivers. Also, download Windows 10 updates.
