  1. Use the Shift + Restart

One way to enter the safe mode in Windows 10 is by pressing Shift + Restart. Follow these steps-

  • Open start menu on your PC or laptop.
  • Click or tap on the power button in the menu of Windows 10
  • Hold the shift key and select the restart button.

You can also do this from your sign in page. There is a power button on the right corner of the screen.

Then Windows 10 will reboot.  Options will be laid and you’ll have to select anyone of it. You’ll have to select troubleshoot option to enter into the safe mode in Windows 10.

Step- 2- Use system configuration tool

It is the easiest method to boot into the safe mode is to use the system configuration tool. It is also mentioned as msconfig.exe.

One of the easiest ways to start the configuration tool is that you can use the run window.

  • Press Windows+R and the run box will open up.
  • Type msconfig and click on okay.

Another way to open the system configuration tool is to open it from thetaskbar. Go to taskbar and type- System Configuration Tool and select it.

You can see the system configuration tool in the taskbar search option. It is one of the easiest and suitable ways.

  • Select the boot tab
  • Opt for Safe boot
  • Now select and click OK

Step-4-Tapping

The easiest method is tapping the F8 button on your keyboard.  However, Windows 10 has disabled this process.

  • First, open the elevated command prompt
  • Click on the start menu and select the command prompt.
  • Click on yes in User command prompt.
  • It will look something like this

  • Copy paste this command

bcdedit /set {default} bootmenupolicy legacy

 

Your job is done. Your system has entered the safe mode.

 

But what if nothing works. All these options turn out to be of no use. What will you do then?

Here is a trick that you can use in case everything else just fails.

  • Choose your keyboard layout.
  • Follow it by repair your computer
  • Head towards troubleshooting option now.
  • Now opt for advanced option after clicking on troubleshoot
  • Here you’ll find system restore.
  • Go back to the previous build
  • Create a system image
  • Type recovery in the search bar
  • Select recovery, Control Panel
  • You’re in advanced recovery tool now.
  • Create a recovery drive
  • Follow these steps-

System repair disc

  • Right click on the start menu.
  • Opt for the control panel
  • Go to system Security
  • Go to Backup and Restore (Windows 7)
  • Select the system repair disc
