How To Install Windows 7 Network Driver

Network drivers are the most important part of accessing the internet. Without a network adaptor, you cannot have a network driver which leads to no internet service on your device. Network adaptors come in different forms, for instance, network interface cards, wireless network adaptors, and USB network adaptor.

Most devices come with an inbuilt network interface card which is usually installed on the device motherboard. The question arises what is a network drive. It acts as a bridge between your device Software and Hardware. It allows your PC to access and activate the software functions which require the hardware placed in the motherboard.

You will notice there are some drivers which may install automatically at the time of power on. Example- when you connect an Ethernet cable you may see an automatic driver installation. But there are sometimes you need to manually install the drivers in your PC and we are going to show you how to install Windows 7 network driver to your PC.

Why do You need to install Windows 7 Network Driver?

Sometimes while reinstalling and operating software Windows it can cause some loss of drivers because of which you can’t access the internet.

Sometimes while installing a corrupted software it can cause a clash between the software and the driver and it can cause a loss of driver and you have to update or rollback the driver.

Many times due to lack of use the driver may be disabled or is not updated because of which you have to install an updated driver to your PC.

Where to Download network driver for Windows 7?

Most of the time you don’t need to install a driver through a series driver USB drive but there is a method that includes installing a driver USB CD / DVD drive.

Because of the new technology, now you can download the driver through the internet directly to your PC.

How to install the Windows 7 Network Driver

Follow these steps to download and install the latest network card drivers for Windows 7.

Method 1: Through the Internet.

Step 1: Download the latest driver through here.

Step 2: Right-click on the Computer and click manage.

Step 3: A window will open named computer management. On the left hand of the window we can see and option name device manager click on that. Now you can see another drop-down menu in the centre of the screen. Search for other devices and there you can see a driver.

Step 4: right-click on the driver and select update driver software.

Step 5: now, a new window will open and you will see two options. You should click browse my computer for Driver Software.

Step 6: After that click on let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer and click on have a disk.

Step 7: Now highlight show all devices and then click the next button.

Step 8: Now click on the Next button.

Step 9: Click browse.

Step 10: Now search for the file which you have downloaded and click open.

Step 11: it will take you back to the previous window and click on the Next button.

Step 12: After which the windows will show that it can’t verify the publisher but you should click on the install this software anyway option.

Step 13: The window will show you that it has successfully updated your driver software after which you can click on the close button to close and finish the update.

Method 2: Through a CD/DVD drive

Step 1: If you have a driver disk available with you then, insert the driver disk into the optical drive.

Step 2: Now click on the start button and right-click on the computer and select properties.

Step 3: In the left menu select the device manager.

Step 4: We can find the hardware with the yellow exclamation mark. Right-click on it and select update driver software.

Step 5: Now click on the Browse my computer for Driver Software button.

Step 6: After that click on the browse button and select the optical drive in which your drive is loaded.

Step 7: When the process finishes just click on the close button.

Now restart your Windows 7 and check in the device manager again that if you have new Windows 7 Network Driver of not.

You can also use 3rd party driver update tools like Driver Easy to download and install latest Windows drivers for free.
