How to Remove 3D Objects folder under This PC in Windows 10

After installing new Windows 10 update v1709, you’ll discover a new folder called 3D Objects in the sidebar under This PC. The folder is contained as a Library on your computer. Now many users have reported that this new folder is using your small computer usage. Here in this article, we are going to share how to Remove 3D Objects From This PC in Windows 10.

If you start File Explorer on Windows 10 after installing new Fall Creators Update, you’ll observe a brand new 3D Objects under This PC in Windows Explorer. Windows 10’s Fall Creators Update comes with a “3D Objects” folder for Paint 3D and other new 3D features, but you also can hide the folder. The 3D Things folder is not helpful for many people, and thus it is good to remove the folder. This tutorial will show you how to add or remove the default 3D Objects in Windows 10.

Now we have to edit the registry to get this done. So first create a restore point before going to make any changes. Most of the Windows 10 users don’t create 3D models. So you can remove the 3D Objects folder.

Remove 3D Objects folder in Windows 10

The 3D Objects folder contains .3mf files. The folder’s location is C:\Users\Username\3D Objects.

Step 1: To remove this folder, open the Run use Win + R.

Step 2: Type regedit.exe and press Enter to open the Registry editor. Now navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MyComputer\NameSpace

Locate:

{0DB7E03F-FC29-4DC6-9020-FF41B59E513A}

Right-click > Delete.

There are no official means to take out the folder from your Library, but with an easy Registry tweak, it’s quite possible. Also, make certain the folder you’re redirecting it to exists.

If you’re using the 64-bit edition, you will have to delete another key. Now, if you’re employing the 32-bit version of Windows, then you’re done.

You can use Ultimate Windows Tweaker to remove 3D Object folder in Windows 10. All you need to do is, download and install the Ultimate Windows Tweaker.exe file and remove the folder. Reboot PC after this process.
