Windows 10 comes with a new image viewer app and if you don’t like it just like me then its time to change it. If you upgrade from Windows 7 or 8, in that case, Windows Photo Viewer will be available, and you can use it as your default photo viewer, but if you have installed Windows 10 from scratch with clean Windows Installation, then you cannot find it. In Windows 10, for whatever the reason, Microsoft decided not to include the Registry keys that enable access to Windows Photo Viewer. You can set your default Apps from Settings, but you cannot find Windows Photo Viewer there listed if you have performed Clean Windows installation. Photo Viewer is part of a DLL file named “PhotoViewer.dll”. In general, the very first photo viewer has the edge in comparison with others, since it is easy, compact, and very light. Step 1: First of all create a restore point in Windows 10.

Step 2: Download the PhotoViewer.reg file on to your Windows 10.

Step 3: Open the PhotoViewer.reg file > Run.

Step 4: Click on Yes to continue.

Step 5: Click the OK button and its done.

Now to confirm, Right click on any image file and choose open with, you can see Windows Photo Viewer app listed there.
