Most of you, must not have been acquainted with the rumoured Surface Phone being produced and designed by Microsoft; however, there also has been a patent application which is filed by Microsoft on Thursday. This application hints there will be a metallic phone accompanied with two antennas. Doesn’t that sound exciting and retro to some extent?
The person behind this patent application and innovative design is Antti Karilainen. This person is antenna and RF expert who has the experience of working on a few mobile closely related with Microsoft. The design came to be known as “Cover of Device Acting as Antenna of the Device”. The design hints that the Surface Phone will be created with a metallic body and the flexibility to swing around a hinged place at the centre. This property will stop the users from causing any disturbances and any kind of detuning which will lead the signal of the phone to deteriorate.
It was confirmed by Satya Nadella that the company would work to make more phones but there will be changes instilled in the design factor. They will be far from normal looking phones. Nadella confirmed this earlier this month. With the increase in the number of Microsoft phones in the year of 2017, the market will have a new design to accept. They were very particular so as to not talk about it much, hinting that they are working on something fresh and ground breaking.
But it was accidentally published by a Microsoft related channel through a video that the phone might be named as the “Surface Phone” and it might be manifold times different than a normal phone. With an inbuilt “onto table” projection, the device being powered by Snapdragon SoC and other exciting features like a Surface Pen specifically made for the phone. The other modifications and specifications will soon become clearer to us as soon as the Surface Phone is out. It will hit the market with a new flair and fury.
There have been many speculations about the Surface Phone, but nobody has been able to discern the blueprint design of the phone to an exact strength because the makers have been quite shush about it. This might be a marketing strategy or might be because they are planning to run it as an experimental. Whatever be the case, we already seem thrilled and want to get our hands on one of these beauties as soon as possible.
