No matter the reason, there are many solutions that may allow you to fix the issue and re-establish the Windows 10 search support. To fix the issue, you will need to uninstall it or only update it to the most recent version available for Windows 10 systems.
Method 1: Restart your computer
If you see this error, restart your PC at that time and see if you are facing the error again.
Method 2: Restart Cortana / Search
Right-click the taskbar > Task Manager > Find the process Cortana, then right-click > End task.
Method 3: Modify Windows Search
Open Run > type services.msc > Enter > Find Windows Search option > right-click > Properties > Change the Startup type to Automatic > OK.
Method 4: Restore indexing services
Go to Control (Small icons) > Indexing Options > Advanced > Click on Rebuild under Troubleshooting > OK.
Method 5: Run Troubleshooter
Open Control Panel > View by Small icons > Troubleshooting > View all > Search and Indexing > Next > continue.
